What’s in a brief
Each brief covers five sections of public-record research on the prospect:
- Section 1 — Entity Verification. Legal name, DBA names, formation state, formation date, registered agent, current standing, EIN where public.
- Section 2 — Business Profile. NAICS classification, operational footprint, fleet size or workforce indicators where signaled, lines of business, public-facing presence.
- Section 3 — Risk-Relevant Public Record. Federal and state litigation history, tax liens, UCC filings, bankruptcy filings, regulatory enforcement actions (FMCSA, OSHA, state licensing authorities), workplace incidents.
- Section 4 — Recent Developments. Last 24 months of news, leadership changes, expansion or contraction events, corporate filings amendments.
- Section 5 — Decision-Maker Profile. Principals and operating executives, professional background, public industry involvement, leadership tenure.
